Fire Play 101 - If You Love Somebody, Set Them on Fire - Live Online Class - February 9, 2025
Fire Play 101 - If You Love Somebody, Set Them on Fire - Live Online Class - February 9, 2025
This class takes place LIVE on Sunday, February 9, 2025 @ 2 PM EST
The heat and intensity of fire draw us to this type of edge play, but they also make it dangerous. In this Fire Play Workshop, we will learn, step by step, how to set up a fire play scene.
From Fire Safety 101, we will learn how to handle fire safely, what fuel to use, and why. We will become comfortable handling fire ourselves in a controlled environment before even thinking of applying it to another person. Basic precautions and emergency care will be discussed, as well as how to develop a plan for the worst-case scenario.
Supplies will be provided for workshop participants to follow the instructions and create their torches to apply fire to themselves and a bottom (with instructor approval). For online classes, a supply list will be provided to create your fire wand & try the techniques when you feel ready.
Two basic fire play techniques will be taught in the workshop: direct and indirect methods of play. Participants will learn how to apply each technique safely and properly to avoid burning their bottom’s skin.
If time allows, a demo using the violet wand for fire play will be done, with instructions on how to do it.
This workshop contains both a lecture-style portion and a hands-on portion. While no one is expected to do anything that they do not feel comfortable with, it is encouraged that everyone participates in the hands-on portion of the workshop to get the most out of this class.
Morgan Thorne (Nymphetamean) draws on not only her many years in kink but also her experience as a circus sideshow performer, first with Circus of the Damned, as a solo performer and currently with Triage Sideshow to teach the art of fire play. While fire play for kinky purposes differs from performance, many aspects are the same.

Presenter Bio:
Morgan Thorne has been practising BDSM all her adult life. She got an introduction to kink through the Queer community in the early 1990s and knew she had found ‘her people.’
Morgan has also spent a decade working as a Professional Dominant, which has allowed her to expand her skills as both a Top and a Dominant. Morgan has offered workshops, lectures, and BDSM training for several years. She has a successful YouTube channel where she educates about D/s relationships, BDSM basics and various kinky skills.
She is the author of two successful books about BDSM, including “Exploring BDSM: A Workbook for Couples (or More!) Discovering Kink“. A follow-up book is expected in early 2021.
Morgan identifies as both a Sadist and a Dominant. She enjoys playing with various people of all orientations/genders/identities. BDSM is an integral part of her personal, romantic relationships. Morgan is both asexual and pan-romantic.
Before her work as a Professional Dominant, Morgan worked in health care. This has allowed her to gain a more thorough understanding of health and safety concerns in kink. She retired due to an injury that led to chronic pain and disability. It also spurred her interest in medical play, a way to continue to use the skills she learned in health care and to find comfort in the loss of a much-loved career.
Morgan has been active in various forms of activism, including LGBTQIA rights and sex worker rights. She strongly advocates for equality and the human rights of all people.
